Do I need a lawyer for interview?

My interview is in a couple of days. I was reading the Chicago thread and it seems they have your entire history of US stay in your file.

Back in 2004, I was laid off when I was on H1B. After consulting with a lawyer, I applied for a B2 visa while I looked for a new job. While the B2 was pending, I found a new employer who was willing to give me a H1B. I was out of a job for a couple of months.

Is the above situation problematic? And if yes, should I take a lawyer with me to the interview?

Thanks.

I don't think you'd need a lawyer.

BTW, if the IO asks for your H1/B2 (I doubt he/she will), don't say that you've applied for B2 to look for a new job. Only the facts and not the background story :)
