Hello
I am married to a US citizen, and intend to file for a Green Card. I am presently on an H1B visa and prior to that was on F1 visa. I entered the US legally, and have never been out of status.
I went to the San Jose INS office and told them that I want to file for Green Card. They gave me this set of paper work with various forms. Most of them I knew about like I-130, I-485, Affidavit of Support etc. But included in the packet was also the I-485 Supplement A. Now I am wondering if I have to fill this also (and pay $1000 associated with it). After some research I have learned that this supplement is related to the LIFE Act based on INA 245(i). And since I have been legal through and through, it doesn\'t in any way refer to me. But I just want another opinion.
