Do I have to iEAD before EAD expires?

My lawyer told me I should get iEAD before current EAD expires.
Is it true? Otherwise, I want to wait until it is approved though the approval might happen after expiration. What do you think?

If you currently work using EAD, then you should get Interim EAD before your current EAD expires, so you may continue working. Otherwise, if you do not work or have some other form of work authorization (which presumably does not expire soon), having iEAD will be of a little use, but might serve you well should a need arise.

According to your WAC number, I'd say it is a March, 2003 filing. Hmm... perhaps, it is March 19th RD. It will be awhile before you get the card in the mail.
