I'm a Pakistani national and entered to US on Jan 01, 2003 on Advance Parole. At Port of Entry (JFK), I wask asked to go for secondary inspection (no question was asked at all). And no PoE registration process was done. Also my I94 was neither stamped with any "Registred" stamp nor I was mentioned to go to local INS office after 30 days.

Based on current registration rule i.e.:
This Notice requires certain nonimmigrant aliens to appear before, register with, and provide requested information to the Immigration and Naturalization Service on or before February 21, 2003. It applies to certain nonimmigrant aliens from one of the countries designated in this Notice who were last admitted to the United States on or before September 30, 2002, and who will remain in the United States after February 21, 2003.

As did admitted to US on Jan 1, 2003 (which is after Sep 30, 2002), I do not fall under above category. Do I have to go for registration?

Any one have any idea?

From what I know current INS interpretation is that "parolees" are not required to register. From AILF Q&A About "Call-In" Special Registration ( http://www.aila.org/contentViewer.aspx?bc=10,1431,2170 )

Q. People who were admitted under “advance parole” -- do they need to register under “call-in” special registration?

A. We have been informed that the INS believes these people are “parolees” and thus not subject to call-in special registration.
