do I always get new I94?

HI,

Can anyone please explain traveling back to USA from Canada using advance parole? If I use my AP to drive back to USA from Canada will my passport be always stamped with new I94? OR is it random and Are there some cases in which they didn't stamp the passport and let the person come back with old valid I94 just after looking at AP?
