Do calling 1-800-375-5283 has helped anybody?

I called this number ,based on my exp I feel you call any body in the world who access the internet.Give him/her ur receipt # and they can read the search result.Period.Nothing more .But still stupid people (myself included) call them.
Sample conversation:
1.My case (ap and EAD on 18th May)has been assigned EAc number even though I am from texas.yesterday I enquired and came to know its not in texas ,its vermont.My 140 and 485 is from Texas.
Reply :sorry sir ,we can't do anything.
me:but my case is pending in texas.
reply :if required Vermont will call texas.Do you have any other question?
me:Nupe.

indeed, we all are!
I've called once or twice during my whole process...and no clear answers, no help at all. So I guess I can only help you by giving you some company in this big, crowded ship we are all traveling in.

last time I called for enquiring the status of AP for my son.After checking they said sorry it will take another atleast 2 weeks but no guarantee.I got call from home that AP approval has come by regular mail.Hence started thinking .My father wanted me to teach "GITA" but failed as I was too young to feel it.But now I am feeling each sloka of gita by heart."just don't think about results".Have pateince.Have your anger controlled.GC is "maya" .What you have brought here that you fear to lose.So by the time I get my GC i will be a good saint.Silver lining buddy.
