Hi everybody...

Could someone clarify if fingerprints expire after 15 months. I had mine done twice (different codes probably) the latest being August 2006.

What can we do to trigger FP notice?

Yesterday I opened Service Inquiry. My pd is current and i didn't hear anything from them since medical RFE was replied in September 2007 (according to the case status they were supposed to make a decision within 60 days).

Is anybody in similar situation. Especially ROW EB 3?

Good Luck

Last time i did go to local office ( thru infopass ) and i've pressed with the supervisor to do that . ( sometimes works , sometimes not , but good to try and push them to do it )!!!

I did 16 SRs with USCIS until now ( 6 thru the phone , 10 with local office ) and they still don't give a damn about it . I did not have received any RFEs yet , only ......BC pending ( since Jan. 2004 when my I485 was received by INS ) . My PD was CURRENT ( 5 EADs ) since Sept. 2006 , and i'm EB3 RoW also !!!

Good Luck[/QUOTE]

Only GOD know how these guys are working , i've contacted senators , congressmans , and still no results !!! We need to continue to hope that they will wake up one day , because they are just out of order big time !!!:(

Not always. In my case, I went for an infopass when it was already 18 months since my FP. I asked the officer if my FP had expired and she told me that my FP was current and done 3 months ago.
Sure enough, I recieved my GC within 2 weeks!
I think they have started automatically renewing FPs. It makes lots of sense since your finger prints are not going to change after just 15 months.

Apparently, USCIS began storing FPs sometimes in mid-2006 and re-running them every 15 months without calling you for FP appointment. Yesterday I checked with USCIS that my FP done in 07/2006 are still valid, which confirmed this. Since you done your last FPs in 08/2006, it's like you don't have to do it again.

If that is right, that's very good news.
Or else any time they are ready to dust someone's case and start processing it, they would need to send a snail mail with an FP appointment, get the FP, process them and then continue on the case. This will easily add a few months to the processing. In the worst case, retrogression might hit again and this case would end up getting shelved.
How did you check with USCIS? Did you call up the customer service number and ask about the status of your FP?
Thanks,
