We were in Kansas City before we filed I-485. In there Yr 2002, there were 4 Physician in panel.
The closeset physician gave an appointment in 3 weeks but, the office said they need to verify the passport, I did not like the idea, since I was carrying my KS DL as a photo ID, why should a non-Govt agency verify passport???
Second Physician is too far from residence, physician's office gave an appointment in 3 weeks, no questions asked..., bring your forms to fill.
Third and Fourth said no appointment in 2 months.
So we chose the 2nd Physician.

We were at the mercy of the Physicians office. They did not give us a copy of the medical. They did not fill in the forms we signed. They did not fillin all the tests and left some blanks..., after 2 years, the doc is not in the panel any more...
My wife and daughter received RFE for medical, due to carelessness of the Physician.

Why do these Physicians office behave like this??? Anybody has similar experience. Am I the only one who is complaining about Physicians office?? I am really fedup of this waiting, my peace of mind is being disturbed...

My daughter alos got RFE for medical since something was not filled out properly. But luckily for me the physician was still there on the panel and they ammeded the documents promptly ( and hopefully correctly this time.)

I think you may be needed to do the medicals again for your wife and daughter since the guy is not on panel anymore.

Peace_ofMind,
Wannt come to Chicago? The physician that I visited in Chicago let you walk in and mail you the document back in a few days. No appointment and possport needed. And haven't had any problem with USCIS on medical docoment. :D

Hi peace_of_mind,
Sorry to hear about your episode in Kansas City. I used to live there and it was insane trying to deal with the KCINS. The USCIS staff are rude to foreigners and their subcontractors can't even fingerprint properly. Anyway, I got medical done at the Samuel (???) Health Center just off of I-70 near downtown and they were able to fill in all the lines and give the appropriate shots. Medicals are only good for 15 months so my attorney suggested that I wait for the RFE before sending in the medical.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies guys..., I said, we were in KC, now we are in southern suburbs of Los Angeles. The RFE says get it corrected from local Physician. and also says parent/gaurdian should sign.
Validity time on medicals is before submitting I-485 application. Once the I-485 application is submitted, the meidcals are valid until the I-485 is processed (I think). Correct me if I am wrong. If not every one us would redo medicals similar to 2nd FP.

Medical report is valid till your I-485 is processed, unless there is issue with it (RFEs).
