Divorced Woman with 5 years young American Twins

Hi, my friend is an Iranian woman who came to US with her husband, delivered her twins, got their American passports, went back to Iran and got divorced. She has the custody of her 5 years old twins (girls). She intends to come to US and needs to obtain permanent residency. Is there any way(s) to help this lady? She's so desperate.

Does she have any close US citizen relatives - parent or sibling? Does she have education and experience that would make it desirable for a US employer to sponsor her for a work visa?
