Obtained green card in June 2001. Filed N-400 in May 2006 wife and self. Wife got interview call in July 2006 and took citizenship oath in August 2006. She took everything and disappeared Aug 2006. Consequently, I filed divorce petition in Aug 2006.

I have not recieved an interview call yet. Do the facts above effect the processing of my N-400?

Tks.

Should not be a problem

Based on your posting, I assume that you did not acquire your GC via marriage (obviously your wife was not USC at the time). Moreover, you applied for your citizenship using 5yrs rule.

Therefore, your divorce has nothing to do with citizenship and should not impact speed of your application processing. I think that you are stuck in the name check like many other applicants.

Certainly, you will have to report change in your marital status during your interview. Please do not hide it and tell the truth. It will not be a big deal.

Sorry to hear about your divorce.

P.S.: I'm not a lawyer. I'm not an immigration expert. I am just an ordinary guy and you are soley responsible for your actions.
