Divorce Certificate

My close Friend was going to apply for citizenship in few days, he have ti add his wife's name and her kids name ( her wife was divorced from her first husband and has tow teenage boys for him) we like to know is there any specifc official should notarized the divorce certificate or we can submit the certificate as it is we are confused in this issue,please help us he is a muslim from chennai,India

If it's already an official divorce certificate issued by the authorities in the city/country where the divorce was done, all he needs to do is submit a photocopy of it (no notarization, with a certified translation in English if the original isn't already in English) with the citizenship application, and bring the original to the interview.
