Hi Everyone,
I got divorced a week ago in California. I was wondering if someone can tell me whether I can apply for K1 Visa for my fiancé. Do you I need to wait for a few months before I do?

What’s the best way to do it any suggestions?

thx

Not to wait for a few months

you can apply for K1 Visa for your fiancé. Not to wait for a few months. The requirements for the K-1 fiancé(e) visa include:

The alien fiancé(e) must be outside the U.S.;

The U.S. citizen must file an I-129F petition with the USCIS, and have it approved before the alien fiancé(e) may apply for a K-1 visa;

Both the U.S. citizen and the alien fiancé(e) must remain unmarried until the arrival of the alien fiancé(e) in the U.S.;

The alien fiancé(e) and U.S. citizen must have met personally at least once in the two years before the visa petition was filed.
