Divorce after conditional green card

What happens if I divorce after receiving conditional green card? Can I request a waiver to not file joint to have condition removed? Can i remain working in the U.S. for the 2 year period? The marriage was in good faith but there are valid reasons for the breakdown. I would go home but I love my job.

But in short, yes, you can file I-751 by yourself as soon as the divorce is final with enough evidence that the marriage was entered in good faith.
 
Yes, it can be done.

Just search the forum or go to britishexpats...there are several sucessful cases over there. You just need to get your divorce decree to apply with the waiver and enough evidence of your good faith marriage. You don't have to wait for the two years once you obtain your divorce decree.
