I am a freshly naturalized US citizen. My wife's citizenship app. is still pending with the USCIS, she has 5+ years on her green card which she obtained in 2000 as a dependent of mine. I was an EB-1 GC applicant. We've been married for 18 years, came as such to the US 14 years ago but, for various reasons we now decided to seek a divorce.
My question is, will her pending citizenship application be affected (delayed, denied, etc.) if we proceed with the divorce prior to her becoming a US citizen, certificate-in-hand? Again, she has no "conditions" of her green card. Thanks.
