So I know it has been discused before, but here is my timeline and case:
I got married end of 2006, filled right away for greencard.
Got first greencard april 2008 (took long because of background check)
got citizenship april 2011 (based on 3 years)
got divorce june 2012.
now I am dating a girl thats on a student status and we are getting serious and talking about getting married next year, but to be honest I am a little terrified about the immigration process...
here are some facts (some in my favor, some not so much):
My ex and I bought a house together and lived in it from 2006 until this year. we were married for a total of over 5 years, I was a citizen for over 1 year before I got divorce and everything was legit.
I met my girlfriend at the end of 2009, she was friends with some common friends of mine. we actually helped her out (my ex and I) beginning of 2010 when she needed a place to stay for a few months, she rented a room from us and changed her address (in her drivers license) to our address, then she moved out (I was at the time married).
we stayed in touch as she was part of our group of friends.
finally we started a romantic relation arround may of this year and moved in together after my divorce was finalized.
Im pretty sure immigration will open my case and look at it closely, I would like to get some feedback from you, what do you think about this? does it look too suspicious?
As for my part, I can tell you everything was real with my ex wife and is real with my girlfriend but I also know it will look suspisious to some officers, so please dont be afraid to "hurt my feelings" about this... I think any comment and sugestion will help me build a stronger case when the time comes,
I know its a little long but thanks in advance for the comments and if you have any questions I will be answering them to clarify the facts.
