Diversity Lottery Visa

Has anyone here applied or considering applying for the diversity lottery visa? If I do that, will there be a conflict of interest down the line (esp. if say, I'm granted one)?
 
I asked the same question last year.
I found an answer on one of the russian forums.
Here it is:
If you win a DV Lottery while your asylum is still pending, you can not start AOS because you are out of status :( .
But practically, they said your lawyer can tell the judge that you won the lottery and can ask the judge to make an exception in your case and let you start AOS :) .,
Now, I am not sure how it works, but I think it all depends on the judge and your case, I also think it depends how long your case is pending, I am pretty sure you can have a good chance if decision on your case is still pending after a few years and your lawyer knows his job.
