I was taken into custody in new york city and taken to precinct for being drunk in public.
Next day I went to the precinct to find out what do i do cause i didnt have the summon with me (it was lost). They gave me a summons number and date to goto court. I went to court but there was no record. Its been more than 6 weeks and the summon hasnt showed up newhere in the system. Now the court clerks says there is no case or record so i dont need to worry. The precinct says if I need ne paper work i should goto court cause I wasnt arrested formally but issued a summon in leui of arrest.
I understand that its not a that serious charge but I dont have ne paper work. Please help me here. What should I do? where should i go now? Will have to write in the form DS 156 that I was arrested if i go for revalidation. what should i do??????
