Okay Ranga and others,

I just got off the phone with IIO. It was a guy this time and he did not sound very friendly so I kept my questions to a minimum.

He verified my name and address.
I told him I wanted to find status of my case.
He said it is still pending (as if I didn\'t know) and said it would take 90 days or so to hear from them.

I then asked him if he could verify if my FP was OK. He said he can\'t tell me that but they just received my FP on May 3rd. I take this as good news for two reasons

1) He did not ask me A# this time. Last time I called IIO , she asked for A# to locate my FP

2) He said that my FP was received on May 3rd. Last time I called on April 25th I was told they received my FP and now they received it ALL OVER AGAIN !!!!! This can only mean that they moved FP from System 2 to System 1 on May 3rd.

CIBA, PLS COMMENT !!!

Good luck!

Yeah Ranga,

The idea is to keep dialing non-stop....
Eventually you will get though...my finger waws on the redial button for 30 minutes non-stop.

I am not really sure that my FP is in System #2, for that matter we ddon\'t know for sure if System #1 and System 2 theory are true....but all we have is hope !!!

Tips on dialing...

I think if you have a modem on your computer, install some phone dialer software which can do automatic redials. I tried this version called "phone dialer pro" (available on cnet - 21 day free trial). Its pretty good, after you get through, you can use ur normal handset.

I set it to redial every 4 seconds... got through after a few retries.. it will play a sound when you get through..( did not speak to iio - but just wanted to try it ..)

hope it helps

I talked to an IIO today too -
I got the brilliant idea to use phone dialer pro today - but coincidetally, I got through on the very first try!

The lady I spoke to was very friendly, asked for my receipt number, verified my name, address and date of birth, and then told me that my case is still pending. She sounded very sympathetic and said I need to have a little more patience. I asked her in several different ways if she has any additional information about what is holding up the case or when it will be adjudicated - and all she said was that \'it was in the right division\' and that an officer will adjudicate on it soon, but she had no way of saying when.

Incidentally - my details - ND 11/00, FP 01/01, WAC 01-025-xxxxx

go to Programs/Accessories/phone Dialer on MS Windows...it is pretty straightforward to use.

I wonder if anyone tried \'repeat dialing\' from Pacific Bell to call the CSC. I used it once to call India during the heavy call volume Diwali day and it worked pretty well. The way it works is if you get a busy signal dial *66 and keep the phone down - the system keeps re-trying that number until it connects and then calls you back.
Obviously you still have to sit around your phone - or you could use \'call forwarding\' to forward the returned call to your cell-phone if you\'re on the go.

Lotsa technology...any takers? :-)

I was not asked for the A# - and she said FP is \'fine\' - that the case is in the \'right division\' - she repeated that twice, so it must mean something!

In CNET\'s downloads.com, search for phone dialer - scroll down the list till you see Phone Dialer Pro 3.8 - of all the programs listed there, it seems to be the best. The Windows dialer is not useful for this purpose because it does not provide automatic redialing.

They only dial for 30 min. I tried once, since they haven\'t got through for 30 min, nothing happend.
