Background
- I am an Indian Citizen in the Midwest
- I got my I-140 through my employer a week back
- I am in the 7th year (6+1) of my H-1B (Expiration: 11/30/07)
- My wife is a US Citizen
I am slightly discouraged after checking the wait times for I-485s and want to go ahead and apply for the GC through my wife.
If I apply for the GC through her at this stage, do I have to cancel the process started by my employer?
Would appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction.
