Digital photo/Finger prints for kids

I have a 4 year old kid whose 485 is pending along with mine. I & my wife got finger print notices but we didn't get one for my kid. Do they take the finger prints for kids also ?. I was reading in some other thread that they take digital photograph ?. Is that a must ?. If so when will they ask for it ?.

No, s/he under 14 years. The amount you paid for his/her I-485 excluded Biometrics which is included in yours and spouse.
