Different letters from inquiry

Hi:

My workmate and i made the same inquiry to INS since our processing is Aug, 2002. I just received the letter from INS:

Your I-485 case status is pending. When we make a final decision, .....


My workmate also received the letter:

Your I-485 has been assigned to an officer...


My question is :Does that mean my workmate cleaned the FBI name check ? I know my case is stuck with FBI security check . I sent the email on Nov. 2004 and received the email from FBI on April 1, 2005 that my case is under review.

Atleast you recd letter

I sent inquiry on March 17th 2005 and status changed to we sent letter on March 22nd, 2005 BLAH BLAH BLAH.......

But i didn't recd letter yet. Same thing happened back in October 2004 when i sent inquiry.

I'm not receiving letters from them. I didn't moved in last five years and never change address. I'm receving EAD and other documents correctly.

I called 1-800-375-5283 and they were not willing to confirm my address. Onlything they can do change my address or update my address and why i do that if i didn't moved. Lastly they told me to call after a month which is April 22nd, 2005.

God Knows what the hell they're doing.

Different letters of inquiry

I think your case will be approved without any interviews. Although your friend might be asked for an interview because the letter says his or her case was assigned to an officer. It would be best if you could post the complete text in the letter of inquiry that you and your friend received.

In my case, I had to appear for an interview and my co-worker didn't...hers got approved without any interview. The letter I received was, my case was transferred and assigned to an officer...for interview.

I think i will not be approved in near term since i got the letter from FBI that my name check is pending. Can i do something to expedite the FBI name check?
 
Inquiry letter from INS

Since I am also Aug 2002 filer, I sent inquiry to INS. The status is " Application is being forwarded for officer review". Does anybody know what that means? or has same status?
