Correct me if I am wrong, but I though that the way that USCIS issued receipts where AAA-12-DDD-NNNN where:
AAA=Service Center case was filed with
12= Current fiscal year
DDD=Day in the fiscal year (starting with October 1)
NNNNN=Application number that was processed that day (so generally the first one entered should be 00001)
I understand that with the I-751 for some reason there is a different receipt number on the extension letter then there is on the FP letter, and the extension letter stated to wait for the FP receipt number in order to check online status. However, I would expect the DDD number to be the same in both case, but the DDD on the extension letter is for the date it was entered, and the DDD on the FP letter is corresponding to the first business day of the 90 day window to file.
So do they go in the order received, in this case early Jan, or based off the date number in the receipt number on the FP notice, in this case early December? Also, anyone have any idea why there is two receipt numbers for this particular form?
