Different HRR condition for spouse

Hi

My wife and I are both doing post-docs. We are both on J1s (I came first and she followed). While I am subject to HRR, she is not. How does it affect my HRR? Has anyone been in this situation or heard anything like this.

Any suggestions or comments will be much appreciated.

That's a good question...Although I have not been in that situation myself, one can imagine that being two separate J1 visa holders you would still be subject to de 2 yr HRR...

I'd talk to a lawyer about this to make sure...

2 year hrr

Hello Ravi,

about the 2 yr hrr. depending on the nature of the field. you may look in nafsa. this will give you lot of information.
