Different Address in I140/I485 to INS is Ok? Please help
For my I 140 and I 485, I plan to give a nearby friend's address as my address (as I will be moving anytime during the GC process) Will that be ok? Do I have to furnish proof of living there anytime during the GC process. Please help!
 
I don't think it is such a good idea. In i-485 form you will have to fill out all your addresses for the past several years. At some point in time you maybe required to send your pay stubs or tax returns and your address will be listed there. Also, according to immigration law all immigrants are supposed to inform INS about the change of address within 10 days after moving. So you may consider giving your real address and then update INS when you move. Besides, they will send you a notice to come for fingerprinting and it will be schedulesd at a local INS office according to the address you provided in I-485 application.
