Hi,

Could some body please explain the following.

What is the differnce between permanent labor and labor certification. I filed LC in RIR category in IL. I am trying to find out the status. I called Chicago Regional Office Telephone Information Retrieval Systems.

What kind inforamtion of will be available here.?

LC = Permanent Labor = Labor Cetrification Required For Green Card

LCA = Labor Conditioning Approval = Certificate for H1B

You will get status of your case by AVM if your case has been received by DOL & updated in AVM. You will need DOL case number or company phone number used in original application to get the status.
