Difference Between FP and Biometric

Last week i called TSC to check on my status, they said they couldn't find my FP and they were able to find my biometric. Can i know wht's the difference between the two.

They also said it's stuck in security clearance. AFter that i tried calling them twice , both times they said as of Nov 1st they can't tell the status of case.


Wht can be done suppose my FP is not there...i have done my FP on Aug 15'2006.
 
FPs

FP notices usually have 3 types of codes. Code 1, Code 2 and Code 3. Here is what they mean -

Code 1 - FP of ten fingers.

Code 2 - FP of index finger, digital photo and signature.

Code 3 - FP of ten fingers, FP of index finger, digital photo and signature.

Code 3 is a rather recent devleopment. Once a code 3 FP is complete the physical GC can be mailed out without having the PP stamped first. During PP stamping they take a picture and FP of the index finger. This is necessary for the physical card. Now that this is done during the Code 3 FP process the GC can be mailed to the applicant without waiting for the PP stamping. Lately most people have been getting Code 3 FP notices but there are still a lot of Code 1 and Code 2 FP notices out there.

I had my code 3 FP, But i don't know wht she meant that she was not able to find my FP , but have my Biometrics. I thought both are same.

Please do not pay to much attention to what these service reps have to say. A lot of them have no clue as to what is going on. Their primary objective in most cases is to get the person of the phone as quickly as possible. They are capable of giving you all sorts of updates. Over the 5 years I have been stuck in this process I have had all sorts of weird experiences and updates from them.

Based on your last 200 or so posts, it seems your main goal is to ask more questions, instead of answers, trying to insinuate that the answers that were provided are worthless. You, yourself, almost never try to give any answers, only insinuating questions. Yet when someone tries to provide an answer, you try to show its a worthless answer. If you think its worthless, do you have a better answer to offer, instead of another question? Why don't you have any better answers? If you don't have a better answer, then leave it alone. There's no point in telling us something is bad, if you don't have something better to offer us. What value do you think your negative questions bring? Do you have an answer to this question, or just another silly question?

A worthless answer is a misleading one. A good question is worth a misleading answer. A worthless answer is unreliable. The replier answered the question without solid knowledge but only imaging and guessing, just like your worthless foolish posting.

All this negativity....where does it come from? Why is your glass half empty instead of half full? Maybe you should explore your issues with a good therapist.

How are you doing friend? Why are u wasting your time replying to posts by disgruntled people. Lately this forum has deteriorated a lot. I think to many people are frustrated and angry at the situation and are taking it out in different ways. Its understandable I guess ... hope things are going well with you.
