Diference in asylum grant from IJ & Asylum office

I found out new info that USCIS is giving out extended , new EAD card and i94 for asyleen who got asylum from office begining late 2005 or 2006.

So it seems like those who gets asylum these days from asylum office get extended and better service or benefits and not thosw ho gets asylum from IJ.

what is all these and changes?
 
I am going to receive my I94 from the local ins office in few days but I was told by someone that I have to file an application for EAD or work permit card to get one.
I thought I am getting it same time I get the i94 at local office.
I got my asylum from a judge on 23 april 2007.

I read an article that those who get asylum from asylum office get EAD card same time they go pick up decision.

seems like more benefit from asylum grant from officer then the judge.
