Hi there,
I applied for Canadian PR thru Buffalo office in Aug 2005. My case was transferred to Los Angeles office in Aug 2006 and received request for medicals in October 2006. I completed my medicals on November 20, 2006 and I am waiting for passport request. Can anyone tell me how long is it going to take until I get the passport request. Is there anyother process that needs to completed after medicals or only passport request and landing. I would appreciate any info on this amtter. Thanks

hi

my case is kinda similar to you. my case was transferred to LA in March 2006, got IA in Aug. 2006 did first meds in august2006, got request for additional tests in Nov 1st week. did that and according to DMP the results should have reached Ottawa by Nov second week. As of Jan 3rd week the results have not yet reached to LA from Ottawa. Jan 3rd week somebody actually replied to my e-mail saying that med. results are still outstanding. try sending mail to LA, somebody might reply.
after meds, only PP stamping and landing.
good luck

any specific reason for additional medicals ?.

Hi
i had jaundice when I was 17 years old. it was soo..long ago but they still made me do additional blood test for liver function.
the DMP told me later that it was clear( which was expected).

I e mailed LA office and got following email reply "Medical examinations take approximately three to four months to process. Once we receive your medical assessment, your file will be ready to be finalised and we will send you a letter with further instructions". Is this a general reply to everyone who enquires about status.
