folks, i have a few questions regarding my application. please help....

my case history:-
applied for immigration: sept 2001
request for updated documents: sept 2002
got medical forms: sept 2002
sent medical forms to Ottawa: oct 2002
sent updated employment letters and bank statement: nov 2002

i did not use any immigration consultant. when i applied for immigration in sept 2001 at buffalo center, i was working in the united states. after that, i have come back to india and working there now. but i have not changed my communication address from usa to india. my friend is still getting all the letters and forwards them to me. when i received my medical forms in sept 2002, i received it at my us address but underwent my medicals in india as i understand that i can take the medicals anywhere as long as i visit a designated doctor as per the list provided by the cic website.

when i received my medical forms, the letter said that at this time i didnt require an interview. does this mean i got an interview waiver? or will i be asked to undergo an interview at a later time? my e-status says that my application is in progress and they started processing my application in nov 2001.

what is the next step? when should i expect any further communication from buffalo? i am currently in india and will i be asked to send my passport to buffalo in any case? or will i just get the landing papers and i can go to canada just with those papers? should i need to get a visa stamped at a canadian ebassy in inida before i travel to canada to immigrate?

please throw some light on this issue to me. i am very thankful in advance to any useful information that people in the forum can provide me, thanks.

I guess you are okay.

Keep on checking ur online status , If you dont hear anything within 45-60 days from Canada INS or you are online status showing as "Decision Made" you have passed your medical.

Once you medical is thru they will issue letter to send your passport. they will stamp ur passport with visa (it will valid till your first medical date) and resend back to you within 10-15 days from the date of delivery along with Landing papers.

Good luck
