I had my 2nd interview yesterday with my wife. They took us straight upstairs for 2.5hours interrogation. They tried to label our as fake marriage but our marriage is valid and true. Other than a couple of instances, our reponses corresponded 97% of the time. The guys are Nigerians and they're very unfriendly by all measures. They even threatened us.

I wonder if they want to us to lie that we are not family when indeed we are. They even interrogated us about our infant. Well, at the end of the interview, they gave us back our passports and said nothing about approval or denial.

To be honest, i don't know what to make of this. I really need your input. Input please?????

Did they give you some sort of a form? Were you married when applying for DV?

That's weird. Did they tell you to, perhaps, check back later? anything at all? if not, I would give them a call and see what they say. Don't be waiting...there are only two weeks left.

Once they return the passports it means you have been denied the visa, period.:(

I agree especially with only 2 weeks left that they would have needed the passports if you were getting a visa. Did they give you any papers at the end of the interview. You have nothing to lose by contacting them because if you don't get an afirmative answer in 2 weeks you won't get any answer.

@ S_Owoh. Pls I need your assistance. My wife is the principal applicant in the DV 2012 and our interview will take place in November. We neither have relatives or friend in the US? Pls can you assist us for affidavit of support?

I have been asked to report to the Embassy on Thursday with my wife and kid. I'm hoping and praying for the best. What do i make of this? Please Pray for me.

You are asking for affidavit of support over the internet? Are you serious? Are you aware of potential consequences of doing that?

Good Luck! Please let us know how it goes.

Apparently not. Affidavit of Support is a serious document and should not be taken so lightly. Looking for one over the internet is just...well don't waste your time on it.

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. Since I am an atheist, I can't pray for you. It's too bad that you ask for help, but require that it be through prayer, as opposed to being open to other options such as getting informed and obtaining knowledge.
