Did I submit enough documentation for N-14?

Hi,

On 5/20/13, my IO said I needed to "provide documentation" explaining why my father left his original employer petitioner. As it turns out, my father only sent in the requested signed letter and as documentation, a letter from his current company's HR dept. (dated around the time we got our GC) saying that he followed AC-21 rules (providing dates of the change and I-485 submission) and therefore, the GC application is valid.

After reading around the forums here and seeing that people did send in their W2's, I realized that my dad decided against sending in tax forms around the time he changed employers. He claims that the government has their own records to verify with.

I'm just not sure anymore about what to do at this point. Is there anything else I can do? Please help

Can you please explain how they knew about your father employment..? Did your father applied for citizenship?

It was brought up in the interview.

She at first found it strange that I, the child, was the only one in the family who applied. And for some reason, she had no record on my file that my dad is working for my current company.

So your father has not applied for citizenship? Did she have a copy of his file in your interview? Very strange indeed.

She pulled up a file of my father during the interview that I guess has his current employer listed?? I'm not sure. Should USCIS have that available in a file?

My GC is from my dad's employment-based GC, so she correctly claims that I am a derivative of my father's case so she wants to make sure we got the GC's without fraud (which we did..I'm not sure if we proved it correctly)

I'm just hoping that the HR letter will make all the stars align because on it, it has listed all my father's case file numbers for various immigration forms as reference.

I have a bad feeling that it's all because I added in which company my dad worked for when my IO asked me what my parents did for a living. :(

Well as far as i know they do not have any information you don't give them about employment, unless they had a fraud suspicion to begin with. Such as an employer complaining. I am not sure.

The only info they have is the info you gave them on the N-400. And that is yours, not your father's.Please keep the board posted and wait and see if there are other input here from other posters.
