Did I re-establish my GC residency?

I got my green card in 1997 but moved back to UK with parents after 6 months because they lost their job. After I graduated in 2006 in UK, I decided to move back to US and re-entered with no issues at POE as UK citizen. Ever since I lived and worked in the US (6+ years now). Since then, I was also able to travel back to UK a couple times for vacation, renew my GC and applied/received my re-entry permit and was never questioned regarding my long absence by CBT or USCIS. So I have been living in the US continuously for 6+ years, worked, paid taxes and bought a home here...

Now I would like to apply for citizenship. How risky is this? If they found out about this, can they revoke my GC and deport me?

After 9 (consecutive?) years outside the US, you re-entered the US posing as a British tourist, without using your green card (or acceptable substitute such as a reentry permit or SB-1 visa or transportation letter) at the POE?

If that's true, there's no way you'll survive the scrutiny of the citizenship process, unless you meet one of the conditions below*. Either they'll deny your citizenship and leave you alone, or you'll be deported.

*exceptions:
(1) your parent(s) met one of the acceptable exceptions for staying outside the US that long, such as working for the US government,
or
(2) your parent(s) obtained US citizenship before you turned 18 and before you left the US, thereby enabling you to derive citizenship through them (if all the other relevant conditions are met).
