Did I miss the boat?

Hi, Guys:

Here is my case. I-485 filed in Feb. 2002 (Yes, I am one of the unlucky ones). Named check stucked for 3 yrs. Finally it's cleared on Aug 15, 2005. On Sept. 15, 2005, I received an email from USCIS saying a RFE is sent. Waited another 7 days, till I received the RFE. Sent back on Sept 29. On Oct. 6, received an email saying USCIS has received the RFE.

I read one thread saying that if ur name check is uploaded to the db before sept. 30, you will still be processed. But since my replied RFE is received on Oct. 6, did I miss the boat?

Not necessarily. USCIS might have obtained the visa number for you before oct1. Good luck.

What kind of RFE did you get for your 485 ?
