Guys,
My wife and I did our FP\'s early and our experience was
very informing.
Details: FP location Oakland, Appointment Date 11/08/01, Receipt Date 10/04

I did my FP on 10/10/01 at *San Jose*. My experience was a breeze.
I came in at 2:00pm. There was no-one waiting and about 7 technicans
not doing much. The security guard didn\'t say a word and within
10 minutes I was out. A very nice experience.
This shows two things we already knew. a) San Jose is friendly to
early FPing if they are not busy. b) You can get FP done at a
location different than on the notice.
Technican said they were not busy on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
My wife did her FP on 10/11/01 at *Oakland*. Her experience was bad.
She got there at 1pm.
Even though Oakland was empty (she was the only person there) guard
said she couldn\'t do it because she was too early. She insisted that
because I had already did mine, she didn\'t want to hold the case up.
The manager was called and gave her some lecture that if she did it
too early it would cause problems because they would become invalid
too quickly. However, she insisted that I had did mine and she wanted
to keep our case together. Finally they relented and let her do it.
So Oakland is not friendly to early FPing, even if they are empty!!!
For Oakland FPers I suggest you go to San Jose or San Fran to get
yours done early.
I guess the Oakland manager was referring to the time limit that
the FP are valid for (9 months right).
So guys, what\'s my next step? I know I have to phone up the FBI
in a few days to make sure the FP was sent to the INS, then what?
