DId anyone receive EAD

Please post your experiences.

I got to decide whether to file for H1 extension for 7th year or not.
My 6 years will be over on 10/1/01.

I went to the local office at Arlington VA to apply in person but was told to do it via mail. And frankly speaking the only experience I have is WAITING..
