Did anyone ever get a 485 approval without 140 being approved

I was wondering if we can get a 485 approval before getting an approval for I-140.

What if 140 is denied after the approval of 485??

Just wondering.

140 ND 08/16/02
Not yet approved

I-485 ND 12/28/02 (not yet approved)

EAD approved twice once in 2003 and once more in 2004....

Ab Kya Hoga???

Have you seen something like this before? Please tell us more background of this question.

don't worry too much about that. unless you run into a very stupid immigration officer, this will unlikely to happen. I-140 approves your immigration status. I-485 adjusts your immigration status to permanent residence. if you did not get your immigration status (140) yet, there is nothing to adjust to PR (485).
 
I have read a post where I-1485 was approved before I-140. This flows well with the theory "anything is possible with USCIS."

I know one person from my company.....who got approval for 485[Also got card] without 140 approval. I don't know him personally, but my company president told me this. His ND is around May2002.
But the attorney told my president that he will put enquiry about 140. He also told that 140 should be approved. His 485 approved couple of months back.
