My story:
I moved after my FP and EAD. I submitted change of address to NSC (through attorney) and submitted AR11 form (myself) in Dec 2002.
On June 30, I called BCIS national number to confirm whether my address was updated or not (the reason I called is I have to file my EAD renewal).
Customer Service Answer:
I cannot give you the biometrics. Even if you give your LIN number and give your current address, I will not say YES or NO. If you are interested I will only trigger another address change. Do you want me to do it?

This will be no use since there was no written confirmation about the address change.

call again and see what they say

This sounds really weird. I have never heard this before. A friend of mine called several times to verify things but this was prior to
the implementation of 1-800 number.0

I think the customer service representative might be a new one. Please try again, probably better answer this time.

I have a similar situation, but not the same. It is before the 800 number came in.

When I check online for EAD Receipt number for me, it says, it is approved and blah..blah..

But for my wife, it says,

"Our last written notice in this case was returned as undeliverable by the post office on November XX, 2002. To update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours".

I called that number that time and we told them that we did received our notice and the card for my wife. They said oh really, its ok then, no need to worry about. But the online message still says the same thing. Is there something we can do about this. The reason I asked is, we are appying for renewal soon and this might trigger an RFE for my wife.

Appeciate any inputs guys...
