Got there earlier than expected, was first in line. usual security check, immigration officer looked at I-94, passport, approval notice, took fingerprints, asked for the two pics, stamped my passport.
Told me i am free to travel anywhere in the universe and i can work anyplace.
Also that it is taking up to a year to issue cards.
office opened at 6:30 for check in, counter opened at 7:00am, out by 7:15am.

I thought Detroit sucked as far as the stamping goes....

And he actually said that you can work anywhere you want?
 
the officer is a nice lady and

she did say i can work anywhere. she was fast, stapled everything together in seconds and also asked me to check my alien number on the passport.

There were not that many people this morning. by the time i got in and sat down, probably about 40 people.
