here is an explanation of why we are having retrogression
we need 48000 visa numbers for india to end the retrogression

go through the spreadsheet

the numbers have been obtained from the databases of the number of cases processed by DOL in the years 2001-2004 ( it is available on their website)

i have assumed that all the software realted job titles are indians

i know

but i havent accounted for the other jobs taken by indians like all the engineering titles, chemists, doctors etc

this should compensate for the number of software LCs for the chinese

Yes but whats the point ...

ok_LA,

I think all analysis is useless at this point. There are to many unknows and to many assumptions with any "analysis" or "theory". We just need to come to terms with this retrogression. No amount of research will change things. I hate to sound so pessimistic but its time to be realistic. The bottom line is that if you are EB3 beyond 01 its going to be a while before PD reaches those dates. Even 01s might take another year or more. All plans should be made with that knowledge in mind.

The only ray of hope is a change in the law. I do not see that happening this year. Even if it happens it will take a year to implement. So we can pretty much forget about fiscal year 07 aswell. Sad but true ..

regards,

saras
