Hi,
I came here on H1B but my employer had no projects for me. I have 3 paystubs that are 6 months old. I got admission for MS and want to stamp F1. I read the message posted by immigram in this site which says that it\'s better to go to home-country for stamping if one is Out-of-status.
I need your feedback / advice:
given my situation,
1. What are the chances that the officer at US consulate in INDIA(if I go for stamping to India) would ask me about my current status?
2. Right now my classes are going on... should I go right now for stamping or wait for the session to end, which will in the 2nd week of March.
3. How good is the idea of going to Canada for stamping?
Please reply.... thanks a ton
