Derivative RD March 2003 - Approved

Hallo folks,

My Wife I-485 got approved and following are the details.

Drivative I-485
RD: March 31st 2003
RFE Replied: October 29th 2003
RFE Details: Medical examination to be redone and Birth Certificate.

Approval Date: November 16th 2004

Approval Letter recvd: November 22nd 2004.

Fixed an INFOPASS appoinment in Cherry Hill office on Dec 3rd 2004.

Yeap.. My case was approved way back May 2003. I amended my spouse just before my approval into my I-485 case.

Primary Details:
Priority Date: September 14th 2000
I-485 RD: October 9th 2001
I-485 RFE: January 11th 2003
Amended my Spouse along with RFE reply on March 2003.

Approval Date: May &^ 2003.

What is the Priority Date (PD) that's mentioned in your spouse's I-485 approval notice? I am planning to amend my I-485 in january and file for my spouse. I am worried if the PD retrogress in Jan 2005 might not allow me to file I-485 for my spouse. My PD is Oct 1999. I believe that it would be inherited for Derivative I-485 for my spouse and hence I can file for her as long as my PD is current after the cut of dates to be announced by USCIS next month, but some folks scared me saying it is not so.

Ohh.. I didnt know about that.

Anyway, PD mentioned in my wife's I-485 approval notice is same as mine September 14th 2000.

Hope this clarify.
