Derivative case pending since APr 2002

Hello Friends,
My wife's I-485 is pending since APR 2002 and its derivative. Primary was approved last year June. Each time you enquire they say "its undergoing security checks and don't call for another 180days". Lawyer keeps on saying the same old thing. Also, the 1-800-xxxx number doesn't go to any operator at all. Its only automated and the case it says not able to find.

Could you please advise what else to do?.

How to check the status of this ?. Any idea how to check with FBI ?. I sent a snail mail to FBI but no response from them too.

nath: FBI is taking > 6 months to respond to your email. Please search
for "Rahul_kumar my name check experience" on google. It will be enlightening.

Its the same exact thing with my wife's case too. Same responses even for attorney enquiries. Is there anything to try?. I didn't see anything to try in that link. Am i missing something ?.

BTW, were anyone of you able to talk to someone in 1-800-xxx number?.
