Need Jim's or anyone's advice!!!
We received an RFE for both of us back in Dec 2002 and we submitted them together. I was on medical leave that time and submitted a letter from my doctor in lieu of the paystubs. My husband was able to submit everything that was requested.
My application (primary) was transferred to the local INS office while my husband's application (derivative) was approved!
He has received the Approval notice in just 3 working days and I have yet to receive my letter for the scheuled interview.
I have a hunch that our application got separated.
My questions are:
1. Can he go to the INS local office and have his passport stamped without any future problems arising?
2. Can we speak to an IIO about this problem without jeopardizing our cases? (I know that different IIOs give different answers!)
