I have filed a petition to join for my wife who is now abroad. I suppose she will be invited for an interview to the US consulate in her country. Does anyone know what questions she will be asked at the interview?
Also, as far as I understand, she will be given a sealed envelope that she will have to present to an IO upon her arrival in the US. What documents does this envelope contain? Will there be an EAD in it or will she have to apply for EAD once she arrives?
Can the US consulate pay for her flight to the US if we do not have sufficient funds?
If anyone had their spouse join them in the US as a derivative asylee and would like to share their experience, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
