Derivative Asylee

Does anyone on this forum know anyone who was sponsered by his wife or her husband, and who got his greencard based on that. Do you guys know how they backdate derivative asylees who were given legal admission? remember, the procedures for individuals who got derivative status in the US and those who got overseas. Some people tell me if you were sponsered as the wife or husband or wife of asylee from outside of the US, eventhough the pending of the application is the same once greencard is given they backdate as the date of the admission. any experience guys?

Why did you post this question on the Family Immigration forum? This is not the right place. Go back to political asylum forum, there are lots of people, who got (or still waiting) their GC based on the spouses status (derivatives). Talk to them.

Anyways, answer to your questions is NO.
Refugee’s GC are backdated to the date of admission, but the assylee’s GC (including derivatives ones) are backdated by one year only.
