Derivative Asylee problem

Insignificant

Hi Everyone
I am a student in US. My Girlfriend is coming to States within 1 month as a derivative asylee from her father. She had already crossed 21 years of age. I am planning to apply for a Canadian PR as a Skilled worker and want to put my Girlfriend as my Dependent.

Actually we had already married but not done it legally. So that she do not loose her derivative asylee status from her father and be able to come to United States.

So how can I add her as my dependent on the Canadian PR's application?

Should I have to do marriage legally here in the court or after she is here I can show the pictures of our marriage and tell them that we had already married and file the application to the Canadian embassy only not telling anything to the US?

If I have to marry her in the court here, when will be the perfect time to do so? Because I do not want her to loose her asylee status. Since I am keeping Canadian PR application as a second choice.

Thanks

You two should "legally" get married after she gets her Green Card. She can file for her GC a year after she gets here.

I believe you two can get married right away but if she were to get married before she got her GC, she's gonna have to take some additional steps to file for her GC.

Thank You The. Walker
So Its not advisable to tell Canadian government one maritial status and US Government another right?

What are the extra steps that she had to take to file her GC, if we got married?

Thanks

I'm afraid I've got no knowledge on either of your questions.

There are a few knowledgeable ones in here who should be able to help with you both questions. Just keep patience.

I have another question as well.

Can I apply for Canadian PR as single now and after its approved then can I add her as my dependent and send our passport together? By doing this it will not hurt us if she had to loose her asylee status.

Thanks
