Is it possible that Derivative applicant gets approved before Primary applicant who files for GC?

We know that once 485 is filed, each case of derivative applicant and primary is considered separately. As we have seen in the past that many a times, derivative applicants receive documentation before primary applicant. For example,

- Plastic Card, numerous times derivative gets before primary
- EAD Cards
- FP notices
- AP approvals

Has anyone seen such a case before?

I did get my EAD before my husband who is yet waiting for his (RD/ND Jan29/30, 2004) and he is the primary applicant!!

485 is the question...not EADs or APs

While EADs and APs can always get approved in that haphazard fashion, a 485 petition cannot be adjudicated for a secondary before a primary. longgc is interested in knowing about 485 cases. I am yet, to run into a credible personal testimony for a 485 secondary's approval prior to a primary's. Am just clarifying...Thanks.
