I have been a silent follower on this discussion board. Mine was a derivative application (my wife's was the primary- she got approved the last weekend of June 2007).
After that I have had 6 conversations with IOs
Early July 2007: TSC IO- Says case is all clear and pending with IO
Mid July 2007: TSC IO- Says Name Check is pending but case is with IO
A few days later: TSC IO- Ditto
Late July 2007: Local InfoPass: Utterly unhelpful IO- Says case is pending at TSC (Duh!)
Two days ago: TSC IO (after a 50 minute wait)- Says "Is your address 1234 XYZ Road"? I say, "Yes". She says. "I just talked to you 5 minutes ago". I say, "No, I haven't called in about three weeks." She says, "No. I am sure it was you. Your case is pending". And hangs up! Left me seething.
Yesterday AM: TSC IO- Very nice lady. Checks up on all the details taking a little time, and then says that case is all clear, name check has been clear since January 2007, but case not pre-adjudicated, and not with an IO currently- so just have to wait.
Yesterday around 7:30 pm: Ge the "Card ordered" e-mail from CRIS. And this morning "Notice welcoming new PR sent" e-mail.
Make of this yin-yang sequence what you will. Is LUD significant? Is pending with IO the end game? Who knows?
A big thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences here. I registered on this web-site today just to try and give something back. And I am sure I will continue to visit it for some time to come (withdrawing "cold turkey" is very difficult as a lot of "approved" folks will attest to).
Our details are as follows:
EB2 (India): PD March 2004
I-140 approval: Sep 2005
I-485 RD: January 2005 (staggered with I-140 pending)
Relinquished H-1Bs to go on EAD in May 2005
Been on EAD and AP since
VSC to TSC transfer: March 2007
FP2: May 2007
Spouse (primary) AD: July 2007
Derivative AD: Aug 2007
No LUDs on either case after March 2007 (transfer to TSC) until the Card ordered e-mail
