My case was on backlog for years, since the late 90s. They finally approved the I-130 and The family I-485 was filed around Nov/Dec. The fingerprint for work was done in late Jan and the work card came 4-7 days later.
The Interview took place mid July. I was informed that the law changed and the passport could not be stamped. Said they needed my T-File, which was filed by another family member. So once all files are put together, I would get something in the mail.
It's been a while now, and I called, they said... they are now up to 2002.
it's just real depressing.
