Quick question, when someone gets deported to they get thrown in jail? either here or back in there home country, in my case Australia? what happens?

They just get shipped off to Australia. At least that's what Carey's (the Aussie writer) novel "Botany Bay" tells me.

Well it depends..

1. Has a final order of removal been issued against you?

You do know there is an option of Voluntary Departure which actually isnt Removal. This is something you can look into . Be advised you need to ask an IJ for it and the IJ needs to approve it.

But yes if you are ordered removed you will be sent back to your country of origin (the country of which you are a citizen). & yes you could be held in detention till you are moved back to Australia

Do make sure you have a good immigration attorney to handle your removal as this is your last chance of staying in the US

good luck
